A charity from the region has received a donation of thousands of pounds that will enable them to employ three research nurses.
Cure Leukaemia based in Birmingham provides treatments which are not normally available on the NHS. They received the massive donation of £75,000 from the Warwickshire County Cricket Club who donated the money from ticket revenues from the test match between England and India.
A partnership began between the cancer charity and cricket club began in 2005 and this year the club is also hosting Cure Leukaemia’s Christmas Ball.
